Hello Meet Our Clinical Supervisor, Dr. Dalton-Trusty
Dr. Lucetry B. Dalton-Trusty is a Pontiac, MI native who is currently a Clinical Psychologist with the Rock Health Collective in Detroit. MI. She is also an Assistant Professor and Director of the Mental Health and Wellness Clinic at Wayne State University. A renowned mental health professional, she has received several accolades, awards, certifications, and opportunities that have allowed her to provide psychology services to various professional/community organizations country-wide as well as advocate for the importance of positive mental health development. Dr. Dalton-Trusty was selected as the Top Winner and Most Elite of the Oakland County Executive Elite 40 under 40 Class of 2018, making her the FIRST WOMAN OF COLOR, FIRST DOCTOR, FIRST NATIVE OF PONTIAC, AND THE YOUNGEST INDIVIDUAL to ever receive this honor. She has also received Proclamation by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners and was honored as a Pontiac “Hometown Hero.” Additionally, she has served as a mentor and Executive Board Member for the Identify Your Dream Foundation, a grief support organization for inner-city youth.
Her Story
Dr. Dalton-Trusty earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2011 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, then earned her Master of Arts in 2013 and Doctorate of Psychology in 2017, both in Clinical Psychology, from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington D.C. Campus. Upon her return to Michigan in 2017, she completed a two-year Postdoctoral Psychology fellowship at McLaren-Flint hospital. She has also obtained an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology in 40+ states from the PSYPACT Commission. Dr. Dalton-Trusty is a published researcher and member of various national professional organizations, including being a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in addition to being listed in the mental health directory for various professional sports organizations.
